Outdoor Learning

In 2022 we recieved some money from the Virtual Schools to improve our school provision.  We used this money to create a new outdoor leanring space.  We were helped out by Atkins who project managed the build for us and helped us to get lots of volunteers and donations from different companies to keep the costs down. 

Growing Outside

Each week, Dawn from Growing outside comes in and works with the classes to enrich their science and topic curriculum.  She works with all of the children across the school to plant our allotment and learn about the environment. 

Forest School

Every afternoon, Mr Lucey runs a forest school intervention group.  The children develop their self regulation skills using the outdoor environment as a stimulus. 

Classwork

Staff have been trained to use the outdoor space in their learning.  All staff try to get outside to engage the children as regularly as possible.
